Lake Park, lacking funds to
open for its 115th season,
has a plan to raise the
$300,000 needed to open the
park - the sale of
commemorative tokens at $5
apiece. The
collectible tokens can also
be exchanged for an all-day
ride pass on weekdays, a
savings of between
$3.95 to $8.95. The
tokens were struck in the
1990's and have "Liberty
Token" engraved on one side.
On the back is a tribute "In
memory or Don Guckert," a
park employee who died in
1996. Tokens can be
purchased at the Conneaut
Lake Park office or at the
Crawford County Convention
and Visitors Bureau, by
calling the park office, or
by ordering at
www.conneautlakepark.com.
